I met this family on a recent photography workshop put on by Barb Uil in Blairsville, GA. A family of 7 (and one in the oven), traveling around in their redone school bus sounds like the perfect hippie life to me. I can only imagine the daily adventures they must have. It was such an honor interacting with these sweet kids. It really touched my heart how the wanted to show us their tiny trinkets and treasures they cherished. I even was read the story of The Little Red Hen! Living as minimalists I was able to really see how creative these kids had became and got to capture their world of innocence and adventure. Often I feel overwhelmed with all the technology and distractions of this world. This photoshoot really captures true joy and love found not in material things. I think we all could benefit a little more by letting go.
