Modern Star Wars Nursery
My husband is a huge Star Wars fan. When we found out that we were expecting a boy he was so excited to have the Star Wars Nursery of his dreams… I was not as excited. I don’t like theme rooms, I don’t like theme rooms at all! I prefer a collected, mismatched, bright space, leaning toward the minimal boho style which is complete opposite of Star Wars. However, my husband let me have total control of out daughter’s room when we moved into our current house and if he wants our son to have a Star Wars room, a Star Wars inspired room he will have! Besides, there are some really awesome desert scenes in the movies, full of neutrals (my love), sand and sunsets. I really wanted the room to be something he could grow into, and the space to have a masculine feel especially since we weren’t buying a new crib which is pretty girly. I used Leather, African mud cloth textiles and a vintage rug to balance everything out and make it look less “themed”. I love how everything turned out! Its such a bright sunny room it just feels good to be in. Hopefully our little guy will feel the same.
